POSITION SUMMARY: Research, design, implement and evaluate systems to support and build organization capacity for Programs and Shared Services functions within Wyman Center St. Louis. By the end of one year’s service, documented deliverables of work completed will allow for ease of transition and training.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
1. Manage the Volunteer Recruitment function to maximize recruiting source effectiveness and match qualified applicants to volunteer requisitions within Wyman Center St. Louis
2. Design and build a tracking system for all Volunteer application, selection, orientation and training, placement, supervision and recognition.
3. Create a database of Wyman graduates to allow for tracking of success and ongoing research and evaluation of pathway programming
4. Systems are developed and implemented for two functional areas (Counseling Support and Education and Youth Development) to achieve accreditation from the Council on Accreditation, including:
a. Comprehensive registration/intake process
b. Data collection processes and procedures
c. Program quality improvement processes
5. Provide assistance to the Office Administrator and the COO with the coordination of special projects including:
• IT planning and implementation of systems
• Council on Accreditation standards met and preparing for Site Visit
6. Identify and develop relationships to create active, meaningful, “teen-friendly” community service opportunities for use by the teens in Wyman programming.
7. Research and create documentation for policies, procedures and methods for best practice in nonprofit administration
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: A college degree in a related field (HR, Business, Communications or Public Relations) is preferred, equivalent work experience will be considered.
Experience: Requires at least 2 years experience working in an Operations or Program support role or equivalent position in a nonprofit organization
Skills and Abilities:
1. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
2. Working knowledge of computer software in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
3. Skilled in working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
4. Proven track record in being able to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
5. Continual attention paid to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
6. Ability to work independently, as well as, a member of a team.
