Why:
The event’s tagline, “The Stakes are High,” refers not only to race wagers, but to the crucial work that Wyman does on behalf of St. Louis teens. All proceeds from the Spring Derby support the economically disadvantaged teens in our community, benefiting from Wyman programs. Wyman are experts in developing teens – taking the best in teen development theory and making it real and effective for the young people we serve. The goal of Wyman programs is to enable our teens to become economically self-sufficient, leaders in their community and, ultimately, break the cycle of poverty.
